Charles Lumpkins

Charles Lumpkins is lecturer of Labor Students and Employment Relations and LSER Undergraduate Officer. He holds a Ph.D. in History (2006) from Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s Degree in History (1992) from University of Maine and a Master’s Degree in Library Science (1977) from Simmons College. Dr. Lumpkins’s research focuses on the history of African Americans with particular interests relating to the history of social and political movements, the history of the working-class. Lumpkins was involved in union drives when he worked as a paraprofessional in the Harvard University library system and as a librarian at Maine Maritime Academy.
