You will provide administrative assistance to the Applied Research Laboratory’s (ARL) Human Resources Office and the Directors Office. Responsibilities include: Greet customers, answer telephone, provide directions or information, and solve routine issues; collate, staple, and distribute duplicated materials; receive, process, and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information and materials; schedule/cancel appointments and meetings; create new hire unit-specific packets and conduct the onboarding process for new hires at ARL; create new employee files, maintain office files, and break down terminated employee files; maintain inventory of office equipment and supplies; perform routine data entry; open, sort, and distribute mail; deliver and/or pick up and distribute documents, awards, or supplies; assist with routine travel arrangements and expense reports; assist with preparation for career fairs and other events; perform other general human resources duties; and perform project work as needed. Requirements include a high school diploma (Associate’s degree in Business or Human Resources preferred). Experience in a human resources environment is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word) is required. You must be a detail-oriented person who possesses the ability to exercise discretion and has excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including oral and written communication skills. Candidate selected may be subject to a government security investigation. You must be a U.S. citizen to apply. Employment with the Applied Research Laboratory will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen. This position will require a minimum of 24 hours per week and a flexible schedule.
