Job Description

The Head of HR Operations will be responsible for building an HR shared services function. The HR Operations Lead will be expected to lead and manage the delivery of all HR operational and transactional activities to ensure alignment, consistency, and adherence to approved practices across all operations, functional areas, and vendors. The HR Operations Lead is responsible for all transactions and processes executed by all HR Operations teams, which may include a subset of or all the following: Recruiting, Onboarding, Employee Services, Administrative Tasks, Data & Reporting and HRIS Support.


  • Responsible for creating a high-performing HR Operations function that will better serve the HR team and the broader organization as a whole
  • Ability to manage and direct the consistent delivery of HR services
  • Is accountable for the day-to-day execution of HR processes within HR Operations function
  • Provide leadership in the deployment of NFL corporate HR initiatives to include: vendor management, service management and reporting
  • Establish priorities for deploying HR strategies and appropriate metrics to ensure effective service delivery
  • Work closely with COEs and HRBPs to ensure implementation of HR solutions and programs
  • Provide feedback to COEs and HRBPs regarding major trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with HR leaders to ensure that HR Operations' services are aligned with HR strategic initiatives and plans
  • Act as the senior HR Operations leader on complex issues that need resolutions or escalation
  • Help facilitate data management, data architecture and oversee HRIS technical support functions
  • Ensure that key performance indicators for HR Operations are established, measured, and reported efficiently and effectively
  • Provide leadership, direction, coaching, feedback, and, where appropriate, discipline to HR Operations teams
  • Ensures that the needs and expectations of all customers are consistently met or exceeded
  • Ensure that work is always delivered efficiently and on time, with the highest quality
  • Enforce the importance of knowing, supporting, and adhering to organizational policies and procedures, including confidentiality

Key Knowledge & Other Skills:

  • Experience managing and setting up HR Shared Services Centers
  • Proven effective team leader with experience in collaboration through partnership, facilitating discussions and influencing teams and organizations
  • Experience in multiple areas of HR
  • Experience coordinating requirements for HR operations
  • Sound judgment to review and resolve issues
  • Relationship management experience with client-focus and stakeholder management
  • Experience in process management implementing HR processes with knowledge of process management methodologies (BPM, Six Sigma, etc.)
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Highly computer literate, knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Experience with HRIS implementation a plus
  • Experience in media industry a plus
