Mark Anner is an assistant professor of Labor Studies and Employment Relations, and Political Science. He holds a Ph.D. in Government from Cornell University and a Master's Degree in Latin American Studies from Stanford University. Dr. Anner’s research examines labor responses to globalization, labor law enforcement in Latin America, the impact of industrial restructuring on labor in the auto and apparel industries, and corporate social responsibility. His work has been published in the European Journal of International Relations, the Latin American Research Review, Social Science History, Development in Practice, and International Labor and Working-Class History. Before beginning his academic career, Dr. Anner was a union organizer in Boston and spent eleven years working with labor unions in Central America and Brazil.
